Why Choose an Aviation Course in Hawke’s Bay?
Our aviation courses offer one of the best environments for people to learn to fly in New Zealand.
Our airspace
Hawke’s Bay has plenty of clear airspace over spectacular and diverse landscapes and seascapes. Our students enjoy clear skies and generally more stable weather conditions which allows more productive time flying. We usually achieve higher flying hours than other regions which are exposed to strong wind conditions.
Our place and people
Hawke’s Bay is home to friendly, welcoming people and is a safe and secure place to study by international standards. With the twin cities of Napier and Hastings in close proximity, you have access to all the conveniences of a big city, without the hustle and bustle. Hawke’s Bay also has culture, cafes and restaurants, beautiful scenery, and activities for people who love the outdoors.

Our aviation courses
We conduct all theory and flying, including night flying and IFR, onsite at the Hastings Aerodrome. The Hastings Aerodrome is an uncontrolled airspace and has no airways charges for local flights, allowing us to offer our students very competitive course fees. While we do a large amount of flying in Hawke’s Bay, you’ll also get the chance to fly in many other locations across New Zealand as part of the course.
